                                                    Q & A

Welcome to Golf and Beyond Yoga, a safe space to come and learn about the practice of yoga and feel better in your body & mind.

Common questions you may have?

What do I need to do before I attend my first class?

If you are currently being treated for any injuries, medical condition or have back pain/ spinal issues and you are unsure whether to start yoga, check with your GP/Physio who is treating you first.

I am really inflexible and I’m  worried that I won’t be able to practice yoga.

Don’t worry, when you first come onto the mat, it’s about learning to breathe, learning to connect mind to how your body feels when we start to move. I’ll show you how to use blocks to support your movement so you can bend your knees and you don’t even have to touch your toes.

What do I wear to a Yoga class?

Wear loose fitting comfortable clothes you can move in such as a T-shirt, joggers or shorts.

Can I eat before hand?

It is advised that you reframe from eating food up to 90 minutes before hand so you don’t feel sick or queesy during movement.

Do I need a yoga mat? What type of mat?

I offer the option to buy a Golf & Beyond Yoga mat or you can buy your own.  A mat that is about 5/6mm thick is ideal to support your knees for comfort.

Do I need to be a golfer?

No, all bodies are welcome as long as you wish to move, breathe, have fun and feel better in your body & mind, that’s key.
